Outdoor Class 1 Division 1 Rooms
Design & Build
Not every hazardous operation requires modifications inside an existing building. C1D1 Labs can design and construct exterior hazardous processing areas, standalone hazardous structures, and building additions that provide a compliant environment while minimizing disruption to existing operations. These solutions can include attached processing rooms, outdoor hazardous enclosures, covered processing areas, equipment shelters, and fully engineered additions designed to accommodate hazardous classifications. By locating hazardous operations outside of the primary facility, businesses can often simplify workflow, maximize usable interior space, and reduce the complexity of renovating occupied buildings.
Our team provides complete design-build services for exterior hazardous projects, including structural design, hazardous area classification, ventilation systems, explosion-proof electrical equipment, gas detection, fire protection integration, and permit-ready engineering packages. Whether you need a small hazardous equipment enclosure or a large-scale building addition, C1D1 Labs delivers a turnkey solution tailored to your process requirements and local code requirements. From concept and engineering through fabrication and installation, we help customers create safe, efficient, and code-compliant hazardous processing environments that are built for long-term reliability and future growth.
Modular Outdoor Hazardous Areas
C1D1 Labs now offers modular hazardous solutions that are weatherproof and designed to be placed outside of a building. This modular solution offers our clients a unique opportunity to create a completely custom solution for the outside processing or solvent storage room. This is a massive advantage for clients who want to have a solution that is not limited to the height of their booth or building, which is becoming more common with larger equipment or storage requirements.
One of the best advantages of a modular outdoor Class 1 Division 1 booth is the ability to attached the hazardous area to an existing building. These modular panels work to create compliant hallways which can help a facility that wants to meet GMP requirements for their products.
Each modular Class 1 Division 1 processing booth comes with the explosion proof lighting, sensors, siren / horn alarm system, explosion proof fans, an emergency stop, air flow sensor, specially designed plenums, and our digital weatherproof control panel which controls the required interlocks. These booths come stock with a 1 hour fire rating which can be increased.
