Cryogenic batch freezers are used for discontinuous cooling, freezing or crust-freezing for a wide range of products. Normally the operator loads the product onto baker racks equipped with wheels, before pushing them into the freezer. Applications can be found in the food industry, the pharmaceutical and metallurgical industry. This freezer is popular for plant oil winterization and pre-chilling ethanol in the extraction industry. A C1D1 Labs Explosion Proof Freezer can also be very helpful for crystallization processes. Chill your slurry faster than ever with a -80F blast freezer. These freezers are designed to bring room temperature liquids down to cryogenic temperatures much faster and safer than normal freezers. Let's tell you how we designed the C1D1 Walk-in Freezer!
Cryogenic batch freezers use liquefied carbon dioxide (LCO2) or liquefied nitrogen (LN2) for discontinuous cooling and freezing. Controlled injection of the cryogenic gas lowers the temperature in the cabinet as the gas immediately evaporates. The latent heat of evaporation is the main source of cooling energy. External fans spread the gas in the cabinet in a controlled way and efficiently transfer the cold to the product’s surface. Winterize your ethanol and crude oil mixtures with a C1D1 Freezer designed for the job. With explosion proof lighting and vapor sensors available, safety meets efficiency with this new Explosion Proof Freezer product line.
